Our Areas of Practice

Our Areas of Practice include all the normal areas of practice undertaken
by any legal firms.

In particular the following:

(a) Advisory

We advise business entities including companies (particularly in the small and medium sized industries) and statutory bodies on the implication and validity of the provisions of Acts of Parliament and any subsidiary legislation made thereunder especially which regulates them. This includes matters relating to Corporate and Commercial, Regulatory Compliance, Competition law, Personal Data Protection, Energy (including alternative energy such as biofuel), Trademarks, Patents & Intellectual Property, Corporate Finance, Construction & Engineering, Privatisation, Banking (including Islamic), Insurance, Property and Conveyancing and Foreign Investment.

(b) Legislative Drafting

We have advised on the drafting of legislation in relation to formulation of water legislation and policy, competition laws including mergers, biofuel industry, palm oil industry, fish marketing industry, ports, Fishermen's Association, personal data protection, establishment and merger of statutory bodies. We have also drafted bye-laws for a major Co-operative Society.

(c) Courses

We develop specially made courses for their staffs to assist them in understanding the legal framework of the Acts of Parliament and any subsidiary legislation made thereunder. We conduct courses relating to discipline and surcharge both in the public sector (Statutory Bodies (Discipline and Surcharge) Act 2000 and Public Officers (Conduct and Discipline) 1993, [P.U.(A) 395] (Cap D) and the private sectors (Industrial Relations Act 1967).

(d) Translation

We have trained staff accredited and recognized by the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka to translate books and documents from English Language to the National Language and vice versa.

(e) Others

In addition to the foregoing, we offer the normal day to day legal services such as litigation, conveyancing and commercial practices including drafting all types of agreements, joint ventures and memoranda of understanding.

WARNINGS ON E MAIL SCAMS If you received emails purporting from Our Firm and/or Partners requesting for personal particulars such as your name, address, telephone number, copy of passport and/or money for filing fees, affidavit fees or any other court fees or banking fees or customs fees or transportation fees, attorney fees or other fees, just delete the email and forget about it because such emails are just scams. There is no money to be given away nor is there any will or deceased money or any award or judgment of any kind or any similar surname deceased money.
